Fashion Tips For Men

Ties
The necktie is the ultimate men's accessory. It can energize, complete or augment any outfit. It can take an outfit from satisfactory to spectacular with a flip of the wrist. The quality of a man's tie show women how much they care about their clothes and how they look. Because a fashionable man always wears great looking ties.

During the casual Friday craze, ties got a bad name and were associated with elitism, stuffiness and boredom. This is simply not the case. Ties are the sign of a gentleman, professionalism and passion. A great tie projects a sense of elegance, gracefulness and confidence. This is why it's so important for men to have great ties.

There is certainly no shortage of styles; print, solid, small pattern, large pattern, stripe, variegated stripe, bright, knit and polka dot, just to name a few. The key is to match your tie with your suit, shirt and personality. When you are are to do all three, you will almost certainly turn heads and create intrigue.

The tie is also a vital part of constantly rejuvenating your look. By mixing and matching them with different shirts and suits, it appears you're wearing a completely different outfit each day. So sure your ties are versatile. The more suits and shirts they go with, the more fashion options you'll have at your disposal.

There are also a few rules to follow when it comes to tying ties. Never let the tip of your tie fall below your waistline. The size of the knot depends on the shirt collar (the bigger the gap, the bigger the knot). And the four-in-hand knot is the best and most basic knot, which can be worn with all collar types.

Men wanting to learn how to properly tie their necktie can find a friend to teach you how or those who prefer to do it on their own can follow the carefully illustrated steps at sites like www.tie-a-tie.net or watch how-to videos at sites like www.ehow.com/how_290_tie-tie.html.

Own: Five ties of different colors and patterns. The bolder and classier the better.

Underwear
Undress to impress. Pick underwear that fits snug, is comfortable and looks stylish. Your best bet is to find a pair of boxer-briefs with an interesting pattern along the rim and a dark colored fabric. It's also important for men to stay within the boxer, brief or boxer brief range. Wearing thongs or bikini briefs can diminish your manliness.

Throw away your old underwear. Faded or damaged boxers and briefs are the height of un-sexy, yet some men seem reluctant to toss them in the garbage. You should never own a pair of underwear for more than five years. If she sees you in your underwear, you're doing well - so don't ruin it with ratty underwear.

Own: At least seven pairs of underwear. Keep consistent with style (boxer, brief or boxer brief) and own at least three different colors. Black, grey and blue are the underwear colors men choose most often.

Coats
Have something nice to place over your suits and shirts. There's no point in looking amazing only to throw a shabby coat on overtop. If you want something classy yet casual, look no further than leather. If the leather jacket can make James Dean look cooler, imagine what it can do for you.

Sunglasses
Protect your eyes and stand out by picking a different color lens or style of sunglass than everyone else. Pick a red, yellow or blue lens in a traditional frame. Or pick an unconventional frame such as circular, over-sized or aviator. Either way, you'll look great and separate yourself from the crowd.

Sunglasses can also help round square faces and square round faces. This is done by choosing a frame that's the opposite of your face shape. This means square frames for round faces and round frames for square faces. This simple step instantly transforms the appearance of your facial structure.

Hats
Hats are not attractive as hair. You can wear a visor on the golf course. A cowboy hat when you're on the ranch. A fitted cap with your team logo on the way to the game. Otherwise, show off your hair.

AGE ADVICE

Shrink your clothes, increase your presence
(Ages 15-20) If you don't want to be treated like a kid... don't dress like one. Sports jerseys, oversized pants, and concert t-shirts do little to catch her eye or spark attraction. Women mature faster than men during their late-teens and early twenties and will look for more mature men - unless you look the part. Have at least one outfit that screams mature sexuality.

Toss a black blazer over a funky dress shirt, along with dress pants, a black belt and black leather shoes. Or pull on a brightly colored (but cool) dress shirt, roll up its sleeves, pull on some snug jeans, a stylish bracelet, along with a stylish belt and shoes. If you can separate yourself from your youthful peers, you'll be able to compete with the big boys and won't always be stuck dating women younger than yourself.

Become a suit, with style
(Ages 21-35) Moving into the workplace means changing your wardrobe to meet those demands. For many men this is going to mean wearing suits. This transition is often dreaded, but should be welcomed. If you learn what colors and cuts look best on you, you'll be able to immediately demand more respect from your competitors. If you look good, people assume you are good.

Purchase one suit specifically for after-work functions. A solid black or navy pinstripe with a white shirt, red tie, red socks, black belt and black shoes screams seductive confidence. If a function is more casual, toss a black suit jacket over a designer t-shirt and jeans for an urban hipster look.

Avoiding the fashion rut
(Ages 36-54) Keeping stylish will separate your from your peers. Too many men fall into a fashion rut after their mid-thirties and never again update their wardrobe. This can cause them to fall decades behind and look less-than impressive. Just dressing well will help separate you from the singles scene competition.

Keep looking to Hollywood's leading men in your age category. Copy their styles. Don't feel you have to radically change your look as you get older. Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise still look just as good as they did in their twenties. There's no reason you can't do the same.

Use style to dominate the competition
(Ages 55+) Once again, keep looking to Hollywood's leading men in your age category. Copy their styles. Jack Nicholson and Robert Deniro still look great and dress great. Adjust your style to the lifestyle you want. While your competitors reminisce about the past, use your clothes to catch the attention of all the best singles in your age range... or even those half your age.

FASHION TIPS
Low-key necklaces and rings

It is important men keep it simple when it comes to necklaces and rings. A simple cross, string of beards or rosary is all you need around your neck. Let your clothes make your statement. The same goes with rings. Not every finger needs a ring. If you have to have one, its design should be unique yet simple.
